Had 2 lovely gentlemen come out yesterday for a frozen AC and after a bunch of scare tactics, they ultimately tried to sell me a furnace and AC for $16k. They even threw in a lifetime warranty for the coils, which is awesome because after reading the other bad reviews it looks like I’d be needing a new one every year! Oh and I could get a free water heater but only if I made the appointment the same day, otherwise it’d be $2100. Just called another tech and he told me I’d just most likely need more refrigerant in my AC to fix the issue, and that he’d never charge more than $8500 for a new AC/furnace. Think I’ll go with option number 2 but thanks for your time and the $135 fee to come and test everything!
